I found this to be good “added ideas” for those shopaholics out there such as myself. I enjoyed the style sections for those classic, american classic, boho, etc. however I’m more of a contempo-classic girl some of the chapters were a bit of a waste to me. I would maybe recommend Lucky doing such books for those “types” of individuals only and not combine it all in one book…if that makes any sense!?!? The bonus added designer websites were a plus and the book is a nice change from the same ole same ole “fashion books” on store shelves!

I just got this book in the mail today and flipped through it at work. I am looking forward to carefully combing through its pages tonight at home.
QUESTION: Are the outfits that the ‘Lucky Girls’ are wearing in each style profile comprised of items that they own from their own closets, and if so, what are the labels for those items? My guess is that the clothing belongs to them, but if so, where did they buy them?
I’m a little disappointed that the book doesn’t have quotes from them talking about their outfits and why they chose them, what they like about them, and how those items reflect their style.

Just as with Lucky Magazine I read this terrific book cover to cover and then went back over it again several times so as not to miss a single tidbit. The photos, the styling, the real-women examples of each particular style, the clothing and accessories suggestions were all spot on. Identifying how to put together the look I’m after is what makes “The Lucky Guide—-” more than worth a place close to my closet!

I read a few reviews for this book and decided to borrow it from the library before buying it. I’ll save my pennies on this one. Unfortunately this one was a disappointment though it had been recommended. Perhaps it might have been better had it included how the different body types could successfully wear the various styles. I didn’t find a style that I identified with or a body type that matched mine.
