FurnitureThis great eight piece antique oak refractory dining table,chairs and buffet set is fresh out of a Nebraska estate.It is in the original finish and dates to the 1920s or 1930s.The pieces have burl walnut inset panels which only serves to enhance the beauty of the oak surrounding it.The table has a pull out leaf on each end and measures 62″ long x 40″ wide with the leaves not out.The six 40″ tall chairs including an armed captains chair for the man of the house have a carved pattern across the back and have been recently upholstered with period material.The heavy buffet sideboard is highlighted with carved patterns and includes all of the original hardware.The drawer sides and bottoms are made completely of oak with dovetail construction.The buffet measures 65″ long x 20″ deep and stands 35″ high.Considering the age of this set its easy to see it was well cared for with only minor restoration work ever being done and it would be a beautiful addition to anyones home.
